Product-photo enhancement for Shopify

Problem

D2C brand photographed products in-house. Each photo needed 12+ min in Photoshop for background, relight, aspect — bottlenecking new SKU launches.

Flow

Photo upload → Replicate background removal → relight → aspect crop → CDN push → Shopify product image update.

Cadence

Per upload (~30 seconds), ~50 photos/week

What I built

• Drag-and-drop upload UI bound to a Replicate job queue
• Background-removal model + relight pass for consistent lighting
• Aspect-ratio standardization (1:1 for grid, 4:5 for ads)
• One-click push to Shopify CDN with structured file naming

Limits

• Best on solid backgrounds — busy backgrounds get a manual review tag
• No model re-rendering — does not invent product features that aren't in the source
