The basics

Is Spruvly free?

Yes, by default. Account, profile, cases, projects, briefs, AI matcher — all free. We charge only for optional PRO subscriptions (€9–€99/mo), boosts (€15–€50 one-time), and a platform fee on real-money brief payments (currently 0% until Jan 1, 2027, then 10%). See Fees.

What does Spruvly do that LinkedIn / Upwork / Fiverr doesn't?

Spruvly is built for AI-native builders specifically — voice agents, automations, Claude function-calling, n8n pipelines, RAG systems, Cursor MVPs. It's identity-first: no star ratings, no bidding, no race-to-bottom. You publish work; companies describe what they need in plain words and our AI matcher returns five builders with a specific reason per match. Read the manifesto.

Who owns the content I post?

You do. We hold a non-exclusive licence to display and operate it on the Platform — see Terms §4.

Payments + money

How do I get paid for a brief?

Set up Stripe Connect once on /dashboard/funding. When a company accepts your proposal and pays, Stripe routes the money directly to your connected account — minus Stripe processor fee and Spruvly platform fee (0% until 2027). See Stripe Connect.

Are pledges real money?

Not until they convert. A pledge is a signal of intent. It becomes a real payment only when (a) the founder marks a milestone hit, (b) the backer initiates Stripe Checkout, (c) Stripe captures the payment. Before all three — zero financial commitment on either side. See Pledges.

Can I get a refund?

PRO subscriptions: cancel anytime, refunds only for the mandatory EU consumer 14-day withdrawal window. Boosts: non-refundable after activation. Brief payments: between you and the other party, Spruvly only facilitates. See Refunds.

Trust

Does Spruvly take responsibility for what builders deliver?

No. We are a neutral platform — we don't vet quality, mediate disputes, or guarantee outcomes. Quality, deliverables, IP transfer, timeliness, tax compliance all live between the transacting users. See Terms §1, §6.

Why do you have AI-generated profiles in the catalog?

We don't. We do have a small founding cohort of seed accounts that we use to demonstrate the platform — they use realistic photos and have realistic-looking published cases. As real users join, we retire them. We are transparent about this: /about.

Where is my data?

Primary hosting in Helsinki (Hetzner, EU/EEA). Stripe processes payments in Ireland. Resend (US) handles email; Cloudflare (US) handles DNS + CDN. All US-bound transfers go via EU Standard Contractual Clauses. See Privacy Policy §4.

Brand

Why no star ratings?

Star ratings flatten work to a number. AI-builder output has 100x variance in quality; ratings collapse that into something meaningless. We show your shipped cases instead. That's the rating.

Why is /find better than search?

Type a paragraph in plain language — "need someone who built a voice agent for vet clinics in Germany". The AI matcher reads it and returns the right five builders with reasons. No keyword guessing. No boolean queries. No recruiter spam. See AI matcher.
