Milestones
Delivery checkpoints. Hitting one triggers convertible-pledge conversion.
What a milestone is
A named delivery checkpoint on your project. Examples: "Voice POC working on one number", "Beta on 3 clinics", "v1 launched". You define them.
How to add
On your project page (founder view), the "Delivery milestones" section has an inline form. Title (4-120 chars), optional description. Drag to reorder.
Marking hit
When you actually ship that piece, click "Mark as hit". This:
- Stamps the date publicly.
- Notifies every convertible-pledge backer.
- Shows a "Convert pledge" CTA on the project page to each backer.
Why milestones matter
- Honest signal. Backers see real progress; not vapor.
- Money trigger. Without milestone hits, convertible pledges never become real money.
- Public credibility. Future visitors see a track record of shipping.
Best practice
- 3-5 milestones is healthy.
- Each should be objective — "X works" not "made progress on X".
- Don't mark hit before it's actually true. Backers see your timeline; lying erodes future fundability.
