Refunds + disputes
Spruvly is a platform. Money flows between sides through Stripe. Disagreements between company and builder are resolved by the parties themselves — we don't adjudicate work quality.
Before a dispute
The cheapest dispute is the one you avoid: agree on acceptance criteria up front, ship in milestones, and keep the conversation on the platform thread for that brief / project.
Refunds before release
- Funds in escrow can be refunded by mutual agreement
- Either side can request — the other side accepts in-app
- Stripe processing fees may be non-refundable depending on region
Refunds after release
Once a company has released funds to a builder, that's a completed transaction. If you need a refund, you negotiate it with the builder directly. Spruvly cannot reverse a release.
Stripe-side chargebacks
A customer's bank can issue a chargeback at any time. If that happens against a payment on Spruvly, Stripe's standard chargeback flow applies. The receiving party is responsible for responding with evidence.
What Spruvly does (and doesn't) decide
- We decide: platform rules — fraud, ToS violations, identity issues
- We don't decide: whether the work was “good enough,” scope drift, taste disagreements
